Every member of NCBOA must obtain personal liability insurance prior to receiving any games.
Constitution Article III, Section 4 - "Members are required to carry (and pay for)liability insurance coverage of not less than the minimum amount specified in the
By-Laws in order to receive assignments from the Association. Each individual
member is responsible to provide the Association with evidence of such insurance
prior to receiving any assignments."
By-Laws Section 4.B. - "Each Active Member shall be required to carry (and pay for)
not less than $1,000,000 (one million dollars) of personal liability insurance coverage."
- This is NOT your auto liability or homeowners insurance
- This is an additional insurance policy that protects you as a sports official
if you're ever named in a lawsuit and found personally liable for damages
