Another year is about to start, and another curve has been thrown to us by the principals of
the North County Conference.  Not only are we tasked with triple-headers at different sites
on Fridays, but we now will start playing Tuesday/Wednesday triple-headers, too!
The Avocado/Valley leagues will play on Tuesday and the Palomar League will play on
Wednesdays.  All games will go at 3:30/5:15/7:00.  YES, even the Friday contests will start
at 3:30.  Throw in the 11 small schools that we service and you can see we have quite a chore
ahead of us this year.  Just how all this will be scheduled remains to be seen.  As you can
imagine I need the help and cooperation of all our officials with their start times and
availabilities kept up to date at all times.  Our big days of course will still be Tue/Fri, and the
next still remains Wed.  Only a few contests will be played on Thursdays and they are
primarily small schools.  This of course will not start until league play commences in Jan.
Dec still remains the same - contests can be played on any day except Sundays.  We have
picked up two more tournaments in Dec.  They are not big ones but they will add games to
the schedule and they are both varsity girls.

Have a nice day!

October 9, 2006

ALL,

Welcome back for the 2006-2007 basketball regular season.  A special welcome to the new
officials that have just joined the NCBOA and those that have transferred into the NCBOA
from around the country.

Please provide me a copy of your availability for the month of November 2006 by Monday
October 16th.

Please provide Carl and I, each, a copy of your December 2006 availability by Monday
October 30th.

Currrently we are working youth basketball in Temecula, and Adult basketball leagues in
Carlsbad, Solana Beach, Encinitas, Oceanside, San Marcos, Vista, and Escondido.  These
leagues will finish in December just as we get started in the high school season.

Please arrive at all assignments fully dressed, ready to go at least 15 minutes before your games
are scheduled to begin.  Off season uniforms will be worn until you are directed otherwise.

Work hard and polish your skills.  The high school regular season is right around the corner.
